comic seventeen - nevermind rapture, here's wanglowski, part four

Well, this is my time of the year. The leaves are changing, there are pumpkins everywhere, and you can't turn your head without seeing something ghost related! I LOVE the autumn!

This comic takes our heroes to a place called the Ruby Woods, near Tannersville, PA. Unfortunately, the Ruby Woods only exists in my mind. As I said in previous blog posts, I would take frequent trips to Tannersville with my parents when I was younger, and I have many fond memories of driving down the mountain roads, with Nirvana and Pearl Jam blasting in the background. As we drove, leaves of all colors fell around us, and little spots of sunlight shot through the trees, illuminating the leaves so they looked like they were on fire. Those drives are where this comic comes from.

I wish I were better at drawing scenery, because the imagery that I am able to draw does not do justice to these memories and to the imagery that is in my head. When you read this comic, please think of the story I just told you. Maybe it will help you paint a better picture than I ever could with my poor background drawing skills. :P
